English teachers enjoy nothing quite like taking part in different conferences, seminars and training courses, these being the perfect opportunity to develop professionally and to keep up with the latest developments in teaching and exam preparation. However, regardless of one’s determination and passion for teaching, there is a limit to the number of such events that one can take part in throughout the year, because of the time and money required. Free webinars come as a wonderful solution for teaching dilemmas, especially when conferences or traditional seminars are not viable options.

What is a webinar and what is it good for?

Webinars are events which have informative or educational purpose, and are characterized by communication between the presenter and the participants. The Communication takes place with the help of audio-visual technical solutions and the audience can ask and answer questions using the keyboard. The advantages of webinars are easy to notice: they allow anybody to take part in the live event, regardless of where he or she is, without making great efforts and without having to use special equipment.
The presenter reads and answers to the audience’s comments in real time, transforming this experience into an interactive one, and allowing even shy people to find answers to their questions without standing out. Generally, these events are organized on social media platforms, like YouTube or Facebook.
