AI in Education: Opportunities and Challenges for English Teachers
Views on the use of artificial intelligence in education vary widely among teachers, ranging from very positive to highly dystopian. They either embrace, ignore, or downright prohibit AI tools in the classroom. The impact of AI is widespread and unavoidable, but how does that affect English teachers? How can AI tools be integrated into language acquisition classes? What challenges do teachers have to face? Artificial intelligence is just as much an asset as a hindrance or a barrier, depending on the approach, the skills, and the adaptability of the user. My presentation aims to reflect on some of these aspects with the goal of increasing awareness about their implications for English teachers.

We explore practical techniques, strategies and activity ideas that help us do just that, to help our learners to ’think better
